Obninsk research and production enterprise Rostec showed a new metal-optical coating

Obninsk research and production enterprise "Technology" them. A.G. Romashina improved the characteristics of a vacuum spraying unit intended for research and production purposes. Engineering and software solutions implemented by the company's specialists made it possible to create metal-optical structures with more than 200 layers, with a thickness of each layer close to molecular - 0.25-0.3 nm.

The complex of engineering solutions developed by ONPP "Tekhnologiya" provides a high speed of the process of applying metal layers to glazing products, with their maximum reproducibility, significantly increasing the quality characteristics of multilayer optical coatings. The achieved level makes it possible to create ultra-complex interference coatings, which are in demand in the production of high-quality light filters, fiber-optic lines, laser technology and other promising samples of optical technology. Today, the enterprise applies anti-reflective coatings to structural optics products with an integral reflectance of no more than 0.5%, produces interference and neutral light filters with a transmission in a strictly specified spectral range.

A separate area is the development and application of multifunctional metal-optical coatings for glazing products of military aviation. The development of the ONPP Technologiya scientists provided shielding of the crew of the A-100 Premier long-range radar detection aircraft from the radiation of its own radar, while increasing the light transmission of the cockpit glass to 65-70%. On the previous generation of flying radars, this figure did not exceed 30%. The cockpit canopy of the fifth generation fighter, along with reducing the aircraft's visibility on radar screens, protects the pilot from various negative external factors, up to the light radiation of a nuclear explosion.
