Novokramatorsk Machine Building Plant starts building the third bucket wheel excavator for Kazakhstan

Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant has started manufacturing a bucket wheel excavator ER1500 - 9.5 /0.5 for the Sokolovsko-Sarbaiskiy mining and processing production association (Republic of Kazakhstan), designed by the division of mining and forging-pressing equipment of the enterprise.

This is the third bucket wheel excavator of this model manufactured by NKMZ for this association. Two previous ones, supplied by the Novokramatorsk team in 2012, are being successfully operated. The miners are completely satisfied with their work and placed their order for the third excavator at NKMZ. Taking into account their wishes, the Novokramatorsk employees made minor changes to the design of this machine, regarding increasing its maintainability and ease of use.

NKMZ is widely known as the creator of reliable and high-quality large rotor complexes weighing up to 6000 tons, manufactured during the Soviet era for work in quarries. Some of them still work, far beyond the guaranteed service life. For example, a large rotary complex has been operating at the Volnogorsk MMC since 1979. But such complexes have not been purchased by the mining enterprises of the post-Soviet space for several decades.

The bucket wheel excavator for the Sokolovsko-Sarbaisky mining and processing production association is a small machine (weight over 188 tons, length 35 meters, width 7.5 meters, height 8 meters), which is used in closed warehouses for material handling. Its capacity is 1500 tons per hour, the height of the material intake is 9.5 meters, the depth of the material intake is 0.5 meters from the zero mark. Its main advantages in performing these works are mobility and productivity.
