An unscheduled environmental audit began at Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih

The State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine has started an unscheduled inspection of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine.

An unscheduled control measure is carried out on behalf of Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal - the territorial bodies of the State Environmental Inspection throughout Ukraine check business entities that use water, including the discharge of mine waters that are formed during the extraction of iron ore. Since ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih discharges such water, the enterprise is subject to an unscheduled inspection in this area, the State Environmental Inspectorate noted.
