French mining company caught its employees in fraudulent $ 50 million
French mining company Eramet has identified potential financial fraud in the amount of 45 million euros ($ 50.8 million) related to its own treasury operations. This is stated in company message on Tuesday.
“Eramet will file a criminal complaint with the authorities and immediately take disciplinary action against the identified employees. The Group will also take all possible measures to reduce the impact of this fraud on its accounts, ”- said in a statement.
The company added that it will study additional opportunities to strengthen internal control procedures and issue a corresponding instruction for the board of directors.
