Energomashspetsstal starts work on a new project - a nuclear power plant in Egypt
Despite the difficult economic situation in the world associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and the aggravated energy crisis, Energomashspetsstal PJSC continues to work steadily. This was reported in the press service of the plant.
In 2021, the volume of sales of finished products produced at Energomashspetsstal amounted to UAH 2.754 billion. The number of employees as of February 1, 2022 is 1,260 people. The average monthly salary for 2021 was UAH 18,654.
In total, in 2021, 18,060 tons of commercial metal products of various types were shipped to customers from Energomashspetsstal. As in 2020, the main deliveries of goods were carried out for export. The buyers were 70 companies from 17 countries of the world. The geography of deliveries covers countries of near and far abroad, such as the USA, India, Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Germany, Finland, Turkey, Mexico and others.
A large volume of products was manufactured and shipped for foreign nuclear power plants under construction in India, Turkey and China. Also this year, EMSS products were sent to ArcelorMittal, Primetals Technologie, Voestalpine, GE Steam Power, ThyssenKrupp AG, BHEL and other world famous companies.
Speaking about the prospects, Konstantin Mareev, Deputy Director for Marketing and Sales of PJSC EMSS, noted that, despite all the modern challenges, the company’s portfolio of orders for 2022 has been fully formed.
“The bulk of the contracts are export deliveries of blanks for the equipment of the“ nuclear island ”for nuclear power units under construction in various countries of the world. Today, the enterprise fulfills orders for the supply of products for NPPs Kudankulam (India), Akkuyu (Turkey), Suydapu (China), Tianwan (China). This year we are starting work on a new project - El-Dabaa NPP (Egypt). An important direction for EMSS for 2022 remains the production of large-sized body castings. In addition, we plan to expand the supply of roll products to the markets of the USA, Canada, Mexico, China and South Africa.
Also this year, the plant will pay special attention to the most pressing production issues: reducing losses, improving product quality, introducing new materials and high-tech working methods.
