Elon Musk sent another 170 Starlink satellite communication terminals to Ukraine
An additional 170 Starlink satellite Internet terminals will help the company's power engineers more effectively maintain the stable operation of power grids and contribute to the speedy restoration of power supply by repair teams.
Earlier on March 11, DTEK's power engineers had already received 50 such terminals. The supply of terminals to Ukraine was organized by Elon Musk at the request of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
“Today, the entire civilized world has joined the fight against the aggressor, Ukraine feels the support of our partners and the international community. The further, the more support we receive, which we lay in the foundation for the victory of Ukraine. Energy companies continue to strike and defend on their front to ensure the uninterrupted operation of Ukraine's critical infrastructure,” said Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK.
Local power engineers have already begun to receive Starlink terminals. They will help to eliminate the consequences of enemy attacks on power grids even faster and more efficiently and return light to the homes of Ukrainians, the company noted.
At present, DTEK has mobilized all available emergency teams of power engineers to restore power supply to war-affected settlements around the clock. Only in the Kiev region there are 30 emergency repair teams.
