The largest metallurgical enterprise in Ukraine is preparing to resume work

After a month of forced shutdown of metallurgical production, the largest metallurgical plant in Ukraine, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, is preparing to resume work.

Today Mauro Longobardo, General Director of ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih, checked how Blast Furnace No. 6 is being prepared for launch. I discussed with specialists the details of the production of the first cast iron smelting after a long shutdown of the furnace and the subsequent phased resumption of the metallurgical production.

The company's management plans to resume operation of one of the four blast furnaces this week. And then - to start the continuous casting machine.

“The work of metallurgists is in demand at all times. Especially now, when the country is going through difficult times. Our duty is to support the economy, so that after the victory, Ukraine could revive what was lost during the war,” the press service of the Kryvyi Rih metallurgical plant noted.
