The former president of Motor Sich was accused of aiding terrorists
The press service of the National Police of Ukraine says that 83-year-old Vyacheslav Boguslaev, being the president of Motor Sich PJSC, organized the economic activities of the Snezhnyansky Machine-Building Plant in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in Snezhne, Donetsk region.
“It has been established that the suspect, being the president of Motor Sich PJSC, organized the economic activities of a machine-building plant in Snezhnoye and ensured the payment of so-called “mandatory payments” in favor of the terrorist organization “DPR”. In criminal transactions, bypassing the established legal restrictions on economic relations with an enterprise located in the temporarily occupied territory, controlled foreign commercial structures were used,” the press release says.
In 2017, Motor Sich announced the loss of control over asset management of a separate division of the Snezhnyansky Machine-Building Plant, which specializes in the manufacture of blades and disks for gas turbine engines. According to the investigation, Motor Sich PJSC, indirectly through foreign companies, supplied raw materials in the form of blanks to the Snezhnyansky Machine-Building Plant and received manufactured spare parts for aircraft engines. enterprises. They were declared suspected of collaborating and complicity with the aggressor state. The company's shares were also arrested and handed over to ARMA.
Now, the accusations of collaborationism have been supplemented by suspicions of an organization, by prior conspiracy, by a group of persons providing organizational and other assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization under Part 3 of Art. 27, part 2 of Art. 28, part 1, art. 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Procedural management is carried out by prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
Motor Sich is one of the largest European manufacturers of components for aircraft and helicopters, located in Zaporozhye . The company owns one engine-building and three machine-building plants. It also owns the Motor Sich airline.
Until recently, the main owner of Motor Sich was former MP Vyacheslav Boguslaev, who sold a 56% stake in the company to the Chinese holding Beijing Skyrizon Aviation Industry Investment Co Ltd in 2016.
