Hunter Biden told reporters about his work in Ukraine
Hunter Biden told ABC News that he does not particularly regret doing business in Ukraine, but does not want this to remain a pretext for an attack from his father's political rivals.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t consider that Rudy Giuliani and the President of the United States would emerge and develop this as a ridiculous conspiracy theory,” said Hunter Biden. He added that he does not regret working for the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma.
“I take full responsibility for this. Have I done something inappropriate? No, and by no means. In no case. I joined the board, I served with honor, ”said Hunter Biden, and confirmed that he never discussed his overseas business relationship with his father.
Despite his reluctance to remain in the spotlight, ethics experts told ABC News that Hunter Biden's role in Burisma, while his father directed US foreign policy toward Kiev, could pose an ethical issue.
Earlier, ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that Burisma paid Hunter Biden about a million dollars.
In September, the US Congress began impeachment proceedings against Trump over suspicions of blackmailing the Ukrainian leadership - the American leader allegedly demanded that Kiev investigate the Biden Jr. case.
In response, the White House published a transcript of Trump's conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the American leader demanded that the topic be closed with impeachment.
