Ukraine resumed electricity trade with Hungary for the first time in 2 years
Ukraine resumed trade in electricity with Hungary on February 23, 2024. The volume of imports for this day is 99 MWh, exports - 165 MWh. This is reported by ExPro with reference to data from the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform.
On Thursday, February 22, the first joint daily auction for the distribution of capacity between Ukraine and Hungary was held on the European JAO platform, on the day of delivery on February 23 . As reported, the entire proposed capacity - 68-167 MW depending on hours - has been allocated for imports. Almost 12% of the proposed capacity was allocated for export - up to 47 MW.
Recall that Ukraine last exported electricity in February 2022, from the Burshtinsky energy island, even before synchronizing its energy system with ENTSO-E.
