Zaporizhstal increased production of finished rolled steel by one and a half times

Zaporozhye Metallurgical Plant "Zaporizhstal", which is in the process of integration into Rinat Akhmetov's structural holding Metinvest, in January-June of this year increased the output of finished rolled metal by 46.1% compared to the same period last year - to 1 million 233.5 thousand . tons from 844.2 thousand tons.

According to the company, steel production during this period increased by 45.9% - to 1 million 486.4 thousand tons, cast iron - by 33.3% , up to 1 million 527.3 thousand tons.

In June, Zaporizhstal produced 237 thousand tons of cast iron, 236.7 thousand tons of steel, 183 thousand tons of rolled products were shipped.

In June, the metallurgical plant carried out a major overhaul of the third-class blast furnace No. 4. “Updated and completely ready for work - our fourth blast furnace has been waiting for the first cast iron after repairs,” the company’s information states. It is clarified that as part of the overhaul, a new loading apparatus was installed, the foundry yard, air heaters and treatment plants were updated.

In 2023, the metallurgical plant in front-line Zaporozhye increased the production of rolled steel by 57.2% compared to 2022 year - up to 2 million 54.7 thousand tons, steel by 65.4% - up to 2 million 466.9 thousand tons, cast iron - by 35.3%, up to 2 million 718.9 thousand tons.
