Ukrainian ministers are encouraged to buy service electric vehicles
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended two resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 4, 2001 No. 332 and dated December 26, 2011 No. 1399, which expand the possibilities of using electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles for state bodies, institutions and organizations.
Today, each ministry, in accordance with by-laws, has the opportunity to purchase cars within certain amounts and quantities. For ministries, this is a maximum of 1.2 million hryvnia and a maximum of 1 car, for other central executive authorities the purchase amount is limited to 900 thousand hryvnia.
The government decided that in the case of a purchase at the expense of the ministry or department of an electric car, or a hybrid that consumes significantly less fuel, with the appropriate permission from the Ministry of Finance, this restriction may not apply.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine, these changes are aimed at meeting the conditions of the Paris Climate Agreement ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, which was concluded with the aim of international counteraction to global climate change.
