The Consul General of Germany said about the selectivity of approach to the solution of environmental problems in Ukraine
treatment of foreign and domestic investors must be equally objective and unbiased, said at the meeting with the top management of "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" Stefan Keil, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk with temporary accommodation in the river.
"I have twice been in Mariupol, where there are two large metallurgical enterprises, which are dominant in the regional economy. Therefore, the situation is somewhat more complicated than in Krivoy Rog. But it seems to me that the attitude of the Mariupol enterprises is different from the relationship to "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih". At a recent investment forum in Mariupol President Zelensky in his welcome speech emphasized on the fact that should be respected the same approach to foreign and domestic investors. He's probably no coincidence that this was said in the beginning of his speech. But we can see that, it's probably not quite so," said the Consul General of Germany at the meeting on Monday.
At the meeting, Mr. Stefan Keil recalled that ArcelorMittal is not only a significant foreign investor in Ukraine, but also represents the largest German investment in the country through the "ArcelorMittal Duisburg", registered in Germany. That is why the German government will closely monitor the situation around the "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih".
we will Remind that against "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih" was opened the first in Ukraine a criminal case under article "Ecocide" in which the security Service carries out inspections of potentially dangerous from an environmental point of view, the objects of the company.
