US to impose duties against Israel for dumping magnesium

U.S. Department of Commerce determined that exporters of magnesium from Israel sold the metal in the United States at low prices. As a result of anti-dumping investigation, it was found that the Israeli companies had received countervailing subsidies and sold products in the United States at prices below fair.

the Department proposes to impose against Israel if anti-dumping duties on exported magnesium in the amount of 218,98% and anticondensation fee at the rate of 13.77%.

In 2018, the import of magnesium from Israel was estimated at 38.9 million dollars.

the Investigation conducted on the complaint of the American manufacturer of magnesium US Magnesium LLC (salt lake city, Utah).

the Proposals of the Ministry of trade sent to the Commission on international trade USA (ITC), which plans to make a final decision on introduction of duties against Israel until January 6, 2020.
