According to him, the regulator and the operator move the deadline as far as possible, to allow long-term booking, but they can't under Ukrainian law to push them for a longer period.

"December 13 is the deadline for long-term booking. This makes it particularly important for starting real negotiations, because for negotiation whole December, only two weeks," - said Vitrenko.

Company "Gazprom" and "Naftogaz" will continue to work to conclude a new contract, but there is not much time, said press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

Moscow has proposed a package solution to the transit issue, together with litigation and the supply of gas to Ukraine, but no progress had been achieved.
