Ukrainian ports reached a record volume of transhipment cargo
for the First time in the last 10 years the volume of cargo handling in seaports of Ukraine has exceeded 150 million tons. A record figure was recorded December 11, 2019. In just 11 months of this year the ports are already handled almost 9 million tons more than in 2018. This is evidenced by the actual data of the administration of seaports of Ukraine.
infrastructure Minister Vladislav Crickley noted that such volumes require improved logistics:
"Today the transshipment in sea ports of Ukraine for the first time in the last 10 years has reached 150 million tons. Three quarters (75%) of this amount is export of products of Ukrainian enterprises. Import - 16%. Transit 7%. The lion's share of transshipment are the products of agroindustrial complex - 41%, and the mining industry - 23% (ore). Record the volume of transshipment is not only the achievements of manufacturers, carriers, stevedores and port workers is another challenge for the entire industry. Transport infrastructure must be ready to cope with new loads, and we now see bottlenecks in logistics and are working to eliminate them. Moving towards new horizons".
the Most rapidly - by more than 30% of the growing transshipment of grain cargoes and iron ore. The volume of transshipment of grain in January-November 2019 amounted to 48.8 million tons, and ore – 33.6 million tons. Higher than last year and the volume of container traffic.
