Prime Minister of Ukraine promised to reduce the prices of utilities and heating

According to Goncharuk, the tariff for pumping gas will be set by European rules. Thus, he said, Kiev will not be "held hostage to bilateral negotiations" and will work "at the European civilized rules", as in the determination of tariff will be drawn by an independent regulator.

"What does this mean for Ukrainian business and the Ukrainian? This means that this winter the price of gas will not grow", — said the Prime Minister. "It gives us the opportunity, the government, the President's team, to reduce the number of the payment for utilities and heating".

As explained Goncharuk, the price reduction is made possible thanks to agreements to conclude a new five-year contract for gas transit.

we will Remind that on 20 December "Gazprom" and "Naftogaz" signed a joint Protocol on the terms of gas supplies through Ukraine in the years 2020-2024. In accordance with the arrangements in 2020 through Ukraine is planned to supply 65 billion cubic meters of gas, and in the next four years — 40 billion cubic meters. In addition, the agreement provides for the future judicial review of claims "Gazprom" and "Naftogaz" and the consent "Gazprom" to pay "Naftogaz" of money before the New year, more than $ 2.9 billion by the decision of the Stockholm arbitration.
