Bulgaria offers transit liquefied natural gas from Greece to Ukraine
Russia started European deliveries of gas to Greece and Northern Macedonia according to the new pipeline "Turkish stream", said on Sunday the Bulgarian operator "bulgartransgas".
"Russian gas Supplies not only for us but for Greece and the North of Macedonia is carried out through a new entry point (to our Turkish border)," - said General Director of "Bulgartransgas" Vladimir the crimson Bulgarian national radio BNR.
Russian gas producer Gazprom started to supply about 3 billion cubic meters of gas to Bulgaria via the "Turkish stream" on 1 January, replacing the route which has previously passed through Ukraine and Romania.
this route last year Gazprom supplied nearly 3 billion cubic meters to Greece and about 500 thousand cubic meters in the Northern Macedonia.
crimson reported that the line of the TRANS-Balkan pipeline is currently idle, but added that now it can be used for deliveries to Romania, Moldova and Ukraine if there is demand.
"Therefore, we opened a route for access to liquefied natural gas from the Greek LNG terminal Revithoussa to Ukraine", - he said.
