The head and owner of "British Airways" resigned
Willie Walsh became the head of British Airways (British Airways) in 2005, and ends 15-year career in International Airlines Group (IAG), formed in January 2011 with the merger of British Airways and Iberia — the flagship carriers of the United Kingdom and Spain respectively.
Willie Walsh – a well-known personality in the global aviation industry. He started in aviation in the late 1970-ies as a pilot cadet. Gradually moving up the ladder, Walsh was appointed to the position of CEO of Aer Lingus in 2001.
March 2020 as Executive Director of IAG is Luis Gallego, the head of the Spanish unit Iberia 2014.
