In the canadian office of ICAO, a model of the Ukrainian aircraft An-225 "Mriya"
January 26, 2020, the office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal hosted an event on the occasion of the installation of models of the largest transport aircraft An-225 "Mriya".
This model in 1:50 scale (the wingspan is over 1.7 m) were manufactured at the ANTONOV company and submitted by the Ukrainian delegation, composed of extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko, rector of the National aviation University (NAU) Vladimir Isaenko. From Antonov's participation in the event was attended by the Director of the air transport subdivision of ANTONOV Mikhail Kharchenko, who at one time was part of the first crew of the An-225, and now heads the airline, which operates a "Dream".
in a speech, he said: "the ANTONOV company is very proud of many years of close cooperation of ICAO. Our company has always paid great attention to the safety of aircraft. One evidence of the successful work of the team in this direction - reward General designer Peter Balabuev, who was the head of ANTONOV company from 1984 to 2005, the Prize of behalf of the ICAO Edward Warner. We are also constantly working to improve the fleet of aircraft of our airline, ensuring their compliance with the ICAO standards. In addition, we are restructuring the enterprise in accordance with the rules of the Organization. Due to this, the Antonov giants continue to fulfill unique transport worldwide.

the Event coincided with the assignment of Museum of ICAO name of the former President of this organization Olumuyiwa Benardo Aliu, who studied at the National aviation University (NAU) in Kiev.
