"Turboatom" can participate in the construction of the first nuclear power plants of Uzbekistan
Question of the participation of the largest Ukrainian manufacturer of turbines in the construction of the first nuclear power plant (NPP) of Uzbekistan was raised by the Chairman of Kharkiv regional state administration (KRSA) Alex Kucher during a meeting with charge d'affaires of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine Bakhodir Ibragimov. This was reported by the press service of the RSA.
talks with the representatives of Uzbekistan, the head of the region held during the working visit to Kyiv on February 11.
"I was the initiator of this meeting, - said Alexey Kucher. - We know that Uzbekistan is developing in the field of nuclear energy. The country plans to build its first nuclear power plant. Kharkiv plant Turboatom is one of the largest in the world in the production of turbines. So we raised the issue of her potential involvement in this project."
Chairman HOGAN reported that the total cost of the NPP construction project in Uzbekistan reaches 1 billion USD, and project duration from 7 to 10 years. That indicates a serious and long term cooperation.

"Ukraine really has the unique experience and development. During this meeting I learned a lot about the company Turboatom. We expect that the station which is planned for construction in Uzbekistan, it will be very reliable - thanks to you, Ukraine. We are delighted with this cooperation," said Bakhodir Ibragimov.
During the meeting, clarifications in relation to the production capabilities of JSC "Turboatom" the Uzbek side presented General Director Viktor Subbotin.
"Turboatom is a recognized leader in the manufacture and supply of turbines-one million. 20 of our units-one million working worldwide without any emergency stop, - said Victor Subbotin. - We proved our quality in the real work. Therefore, our task is to convince a potential customer of the Uzbek power engineers that our equipment will best fit into their tasks. And for this we have reason."
