Ukraine in the first quarter reduced revenues from exports of ferrous metals 15.5%
Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in January-April 2020 reduced earnings from export of ferrous metals by 15.5% compared to the same period last year (APPG) – up to 2 billion 688,291 million dollars.
According to statistics released by the State customs service (GTS) on Wednesday, for ferrous metals during this period had 16,71% of total income from exports of goods against of 19.44% for the first four months of last year.
In April, earnings from export of ferrous metals amounted to 629,825 million dollars. At the same time Ukraine in January-April of current year has reduced imports of similar products by 20.8% to 297,189 million dollars. In April, the figure was 73,441 million dollars.
in addition, Ukraine in January-April reduced the export of metal products by 14.4% - to 294,142 million dollars. In April, it was delivered on 80,412 million dollars. During this period, imports of metal declined by 25.5% to 256,005 million dollars. In April, they imported 59,463 million dollars.
As reported, the metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in 2019, reduced earnings from exports of ferrous metals by 12.1% compared to the year 2018 – up to 8 billion 738,635 million dollars. While ferrous metals had of 17.45% of total income from exports of goods against of 20.99% in 2018.
Ukraine in 2019 decreased import of similar products by 6.9% – to 1 billion 251,818 million dollars. In addition, Ukraine in 2019, reduced the export of metal products by 6.1% - up to 1 billion 42,455 million dollars. During this period, imports of metal products increased by 13.6% - to 1 billion 99,091 million dollars.
