Investors in renewable energy of Ukraine threaten the government going to court
More than 50 investors in projects of solar power plants (SPP), which together have invested in renewable energy of Ukraine, more than 350 million euros, together with the Association of solar energy of Ukraine, appeal to President, Parliament and Government has announced its intention to apply to the courts to protect the interests of demanding repayment from the GP "guaranteed buyer". This became known from letters from investors from June 9.
"All owners of SES signatories of this appeal Express their intention to unite and move arbitration court to resolve the issue of debt in Ukrainian and international courts," - said in an open letter.
the Reason for this was that the owners of SES was paid "Guaranteed buyer" only from 3 to 12% of contractual funds for March-may this year.
From the point of view of the owners of the SES, only full settlement with them may be a prerequisite to the conclusion of a Memorandum of understanding between public authorities and industry representatives.
in addition, most investors in the appeal also do not support the proposal of the Memorandum on the reduction of a unilateral contract prePPA, as the government still has not introduced quotas and "green" auctions to support renewable energy. However, the companies are actually the third month cannot start projects due to the impact of the pandemic coronavirus.
