More than 27,000 Ukrainian families have switched to solar panels and are saving on bills
The number of Ukrainian families who deliberately switch to "clean" energy is growing. So, in the third quarter of 2020, almost 2,000 more households decided to install solar panels and become energy-independent and energy-saving.
Thus, the number of families using "clean" electricity increased by 8% and amounted to 27,623.
The total capacity of solar power plants of private households was 712 MW, of which 53 MW (+ 8%) were commissioned in the third quarter of 2020.
“We estimate that since 2015 households have invested about 560 million euros in solar panels. This is a contribution to its own energy independence and autonomy, as well as to the development of a large-scale Ukrainian market for services and equipment in the "green" energy ", - commented the acting. Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Committee Konstantin Gura.
“Thanks to SES, households not only save on utilities, but also change their behavior to energy efficient. After all, they understand that each saved, unused kW of electricity allows you to return your investment, ”explained Yuri Shafarenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Agency.
