An expert network for supporting "green" projects for private business was presented in Ukraine

In the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine with the participation of the acting Chairman Konstantin Gura presented the Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN, www.pfan.net), a global expert network that provides expert and investment support for entrepreneurs /developers of clean energy projects in developing countries.

“The development of energy efficiency and clean energy in Ukraine depends not only on legislative reforms and incentives, but also on effective financial instruments and support programs. One of the partners is PFAN, which provides support for the preparation of high-quality projects, ”K. Gura said during the opening ceremony.

Rostislav Maraikin, PFAN Regional Coordinator in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, spoke in detail about PFAN's work in Ukraine. According to him, PFAN:

  1. advises on projects in the field of green energy, energy efficiency, decarbonization, mitigation of climate change and helps to find appropriate funding;
  2. mobilizes private funding.

Since its inception, PFAN has supported more than 750 projects around the world, with 465 more projects under development. Since 2006, thanks to the support of PFAN, more than $ 1.7 billion of investments have been attracted in 127 projects in 27 countries of the world. More than 1,000 MW of clean energy capacity has also been installed.

The program operates in Ukraine, where PFAN has already raised $ 18 million in solar power projects and $ 2 million in biogas projects.
