Interpipe digitalizes logistics for the convenience of Ukrainian and European clients
The Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe is preparing to launch a service for its customers, which will allow them to track the status of the order. Denis Morozov, Director for Economics and Finance, spoke about this at the Business Wisdom Summit and added that the company is now focusing on the digitalization of logistics.
By the end of the year, Interpipe will present its customers with an online account, where you can see the status and terms of production of your orders. Moreover, the client will be able to track when the car or ship arrives at his warehouse. The collection of information takes place at checkpoints, for example, leaving the factory, passing through customs, crossing the border. This allows you to predict the delivery time of the order with an accuracy of hours.
“Any customer, especially in Europe, requires traceability of their order. This year we are focusing on digital logistics to deliver products just in time. European customers, especially now during the coronavirus pandemic, are planning deliveries on the same day. It is very important for them to have a forecast of how many hours a car with products will be in the warehouse, and to monitor its movement online, ”emphasized D. Morozov.
