Ukrzaliznytsia held successful auctions for the sale of scrap metal with an increase in the sale price of almost 50%
Ukrzaliznytsia at the beginning of 2021 effectively sold 38.6 thousand tons of ferrous scrap for a total of 339 million 600 thousand UAH.
During the four auctions, which were held in the electronic trading system Prozorro.Sales, due to the favorable market conditions and competitive competition among bidders, the total value of sold scrap metal increased by 49.2% (or UAH 112 million) relative to the initial one.
The average price per ton of scrap metal increased by 46% following the auction results - from UAH 6,000 to UAH 8,766, respectively.
In addition, on Monday, January 18, 12 more auctions are planned for the sale of 9,849 tons of scrap metal. Ukrzaliznytsia invites market participants to take an active part in the auctions.
