The Prime Minister of Ukraine discussed cooperation in space with a colleague from Luxembourg

Ukraine is ready to establish stable cooperation with the Luxembourg Space Agency, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said during a meeting with Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel during a working visit on February 12.

"We are interested in bilateral cooperation in the field of space exploration and the use of space resources, including within the framework of the international project" Artemis ", which our state joined last November," said the head of the Ukrainian government.

Denis Shmygal noted that Luxembourg uses innovative approaches to the development of national space activities. In particular, in November 2020, in partnership with the European Space the agency has created the European Innovation Center for Space Resources.

Denis Shmyhal added that Ukraine has a long history of space activities and a valuable experience in the implementation of international space projects, a developed scientific and technical school and technological capabilities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine invited Xavier Bettel to work out the issue of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine and Luxembourg on cooperation in the space sector for the exchange of experience and information.

In collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), Luxembourg aims to make the center of innovation a globally recognized center of excellence in the scientific, technical, business and economic aspects of the use of space resources, including water on the moon, as well as metals and asteroid minerals .
