State Energy Efficiency of Ukraine announced 2 billion euros of investments
According to the statement of the State Energy Efficiency of Ukraine, over the past 4 years, about 2 billion euros have been invested in energy efficiency and "clean" energy.
As the Chairman of the State Energy Efficiency Committee Sergei Savchuk said during a public report at the Government House, almost half of all investments, namely 800 million euros, were attracted in 2018.
"This is the result of effective legislative changes in renewable energy, the development of energy services, the launch of" warm loans ", etc., introduced with the participation of the State Energy Efficiency Agency.
Renewable energy has added the largest share of investments in the Ukrainian economy and local business development:
500 million euros - for the installation of more than 2,100 MW of new generating capacities heat "not from gas";
more than 1.2 billion euros - in 1,300 MW of renewable energy capacity.
The State Energy Efficiency Agency also said that thanks to their activities, about 1.2 billion euros were saved per year on the purchase of imported gas.
S. Savchuk said that in 2019 work in these areas will be continued and special attention will be focused on the following issues:
- improving the incentive mechanism for industrial enterprises to energy efficiency;
- formation of a market for services, certified energy auditors for certification of energy performance of buildings;
- introduction of the green auction system;
- development of a transparent and competitive market for solid and liquid biofuels;
- stimulation of energy waste disposal.
