Metinvest mastered 54 new types of metal products in 2020
Metallurgical enterprises of Metinvest Group in 2020 began production of 54 new types of products, which brought $ 22.4 million in economic effect from their sale. He told about this in his blog new product development manager of Metinvest group, candidate of technical sciences, Vladislav Gorbatenko.
According to him, most of all new products of steel production last year were mastered in the segment of heavy-plate and hot-rolled steel coils. New items also appeared in the categories of cold rolled coil, galvanized coil, semi-finished products and pipes.
Azovstal is the leader in terms of the number of new products, followed by the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works with the most diverse assortment of new products, and Zaporizhstal closes the top three.
In addition, Metinvest enterprises have begun supplying the pipe manufacturer Interpipe with the L360N steel grade in coils, which had not been produced in Ukraine before. Rolled products for the production of pipes meet stringent requirements for chemical composition and mechanical characteristics.
