Ukroboronprom signs contract with Pakistan to repair tanks worth 85.6 million dollars
Within the framework of the IDEX-2021 international arms exhibition, which is now taking place in the UAE, a contract was signed between Ukroboronprom and Pakistan for the repair of the T-80UD tank fleet for a total of $ 85.6 million. This is the first contract of the state defense concern of Ukraine with this country this year.
“Our armored enterprises are constantly updating their production capacities and improving technologies, ensuring high quality of work and products,” said Yuri Gusev, General Director of Ukroboronprom. “We also discussed with the Pakistani side new orders for the supply of 6 TD1 and 6 TD2 engines to this country.”
In addition, Yuri Gusev met with the Vice Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Mansur bin Zayed al-Nahyan. The event discussed the state of implementation of joint projects and identified priority areas for future cooperation.
"In the near future, we are expected to intensify bilateral military-technical cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE," said Yuriy Gusev.
It should be added that at IDEX-2021, the Ukrainian delegation reached a number of preliminary agreements with the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Jordan in the areas of precision weapons, unmanned platforms, space technologies, aircraft engine repair and the like.
