Energomashspetsstal accepted parts for the Turkish nuclear power plant
PJSC Energomashspetsstal accepted the products manufactured for the 3rd power unit of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey). In total, 19 parts for the steam generator and the main circulation pump were delivered to the Customer.
The selection committee worked at EMSS for five days, from April 26 to April 30. During the visit, the representatives of the Customer discussed issues related to the production of parts, as well as carried out visual and measuring control of products, checked the results of tests, including ultrasonic testing, and preservation of blanks before shipment. Acceptance of manufactured products took place directly at the industrial site of the enterprise with the participation of a specialist from the Nuclear Regulatory Agency of the Republic of Turkey (NDK).
Partners have made sure that quality issues are traditionally paid close attention to EMSS. According to Viktor Kolmakov, an inspector of the ANR, “the commission recognized that the products presented were manufactured with the required quality level.”
The next acceptance of large-sized parts is scheduled for mid-May.
The Akkuyu nuclear power plant is being built in the Republic of Turkey on the Mediterranean coast in the Mersin province. The project provides for the construction of four power units with a capacity of 1200 MW each. The operating life of the Akkuyu NPP is 60 years, with the possibility of extension.
