Ukraine is investigating the import of Chinese metal products
Ilyashev & Partners Law Firm, which represents the interests of PlazmaTek LLC, has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into the import of wire to Ukraine originating from the People's Republic of China.
Based on the results of the consideration of the complaint of the Ukrainian manufacturer, prepared by the team of international trade practice led by partner Alena Omelchenko, the Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade on April 28, 2021 initiated an anti-dumping investigation into the import of goods from the People's Republic of China to Ukraine, which has the following description: wire made of silicon-manganese steel, classified according to UKTVED code 7229 20 00 00.
Based on the results of the anti-dumping investigation, an anti-dumping duty on wire imports from the People's Republic of China may be introduced in order to establish fair competition and protect the Ukrainian manufacturer from dumping imports. Anti-dumping investigation can last 12 months.
PlasmaTek LLC is one of the largest Ukrainian manufacturers of welding consumables and semi-finished products for the production of welding electrodes.
