Zaporizhstal Metallurgical Plant transferred 800 tons of medical oxygen to Ukrainian hospitals
The Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant of Metinvest Group has donated about 800 tons of medical oxygen to Ukrainian hospitals since April 2021. A vital drug is used for oxygen therapy of patients with coronavirus infection in medical institutions in Zaporozhye, Kiev, Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolaev regions.
Zaporizhstal is a certified supplier of liquid medical oxygen. The plant operates a multi-stage oxygen quality control system: each batch shipped by the plant is laboratory-checked for compliance with the standard indicators.
Oxygen from Zaporizhstal helps treat patients in the Zaporozhye Regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital, where on April 21, 2021, a modern oxygen station was commissioned, the construction of which was financed by the Zaporizhstal plant of the Metinvest Group with the support of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
From the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Zaporizhstal and Metinvest, together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, have been providing assistance to medical institutions in the Zaporozhye region: doctors received 16 oxygen concentrators, 15 ventilators, 34 thousand express tests and three thousand units from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation personal protective equipment.
