Novokramatorsk Machine Building Plant has built a "compact" five-meter mine hoist
Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant (NKMZ) has completed the production of a mine hoisting machine MPB-5 × 2.5 × 2.5. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
Its distinctive feature is the location of the brake inside the drum. This made it possible to fully use the outer cylindrical surface of the drum for winding the rope, thereby increasing the rope capacity for the given drum dimensions.
The machine has self-aligning shoe brakes, which are fully balanced and neutral to the direction of rotation of the drum. Also used spring-pneumatic, load-free brake drives.
To ensure ease of installation and maintenance, the brake and brake actuators have been mounted on swing frames. Such a compact design of the braking system made it possible to significantly simplify the configuration of the foundation and achieve a reduction in its size, which will further reduce costs in the construction of the lifting unit building.
Novokramatorsk Machine Building Plant is the largest individual heavy machine building enterprise in Europe. NKMZ operates in the markets of rolling, forging, metallurgical, mining, lifting and transport equipment.
