The Okean Shipyard continues the process of equipment modernization
At the Okean Shipyard, a shaft restoration section is equipped. The site consists of several positions, at each of which certain operations are performed. In the first position, the shaft undergoes inspection and identification of possible defects, based on the results of which a technological map of its recovery is drawn up, which determines the amount of wear and a list of subsequent operations and their parameters.
After that, the shaft is installed on the grooving machine, and the chips that are removed from the shaft during this operation are transferred to the factory laboratory for chemical analysis. Based on the results of the study, welding materials, flux and wire are selected, and the modes of surfacing the shaft surface.
At the next stage, the shaft is installed on the surfacing machine and, in accordance with the flow chart, layers are applied - the first cladding layer of low-carbon wire and subsequent layers determined by chemical analysis to compensate for shaft wear. Finally, turning to dimension is performed again, and, if necessary, straightening and grinding of the shaft.
The process ends with the presentation of the restored shaft to the Quality Control Department and the Register.
