Ukrainian ferrous metallurgy enterprises raised wages in August by an average of 15%
Enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex (MMC) of Ukraine in August this year reduced the average level of wages compared to the previous month in almost all sectors, except ferrous metallurgy, reported in the Trade Union of Metallurgists and Miners of Ukraine (PMGU ).
According to the data of the trade union, in August, ferrous metallurgy enterprises raised the average level of wages by 14.29% compared to July to UAH 23,307.70.
At the same time, the average salary at Ukrainian mining enterprises in August amounted to UAH 19,905.1, which is 6.32% less than in the previous month.
At coke-chemical enterprises, the average wage level in August amounted to UAH 17,057.6, which is 22.45% less than in the previous month.
At enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy and precious metals, wages decreased by 0.28% to UAH 12,741.9, at pipe enterprises - by 0.62% to UAH 15,442.
In industry in August, the average salary was UAH 15,057 (1.25% lower than in July), and in Ukraine as a whole - UAH 13,997 (2.43% less than in the previous month). p>
As reported, in 2020 compared to 2019, an increase in average wages in the mining and metallurgical industry of Ukraine was recorded, except for pipe plants and non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises. At the same time, at mining and processing plants, the average salary was UAH 17,825.8, which is 9.9% higher than the level of 2019, at coke-chemical plants - UAH 18,662.5 (an increase of 5%), at ferrous metallurgy enterprises - 17 365.4 hryvnia (an increase of 3.3%), non-ferrous metallurgy and precious metals - 10 569.8 hryvnia (minus 1.6%), at pipe enterprises - 10 569.8 hryvnia (last year's level).
