The use of such profiles provides a significant savings in metal, energy and expensive cutting tool. Their main consumers are enterprises of the defense industry and precision engineering.
In may 1963 on the basis of a workshop for the production of wire and calibrated steel "Izhstal" was established laboratory of steel shaped profiles of high precision. At that time it was a totally new kind of product in our country was carried out. By the end of 1963 was used up to 19 titles and produced 124 tons of steel shaped profiles of high precision. Samples of profiles, in 1964, was exhibited at VDNKH and received high appraisal of specialists. The plant was awarded a diploma of I degree, and 24 worker – gold, silver and bronze medals of the exhibition.
In 1969, put into operation the first turn of Department. In 1979 he commissioned the second phase of the shop, equipped with mill 300 with the heating of the workpieces by high frequency currents. The progress of construction and the output of the plant design capacity was supervised personally by the Minister of defense Dmitri Ustinov.
