Ropes with polymer Beloretsk metallurgical plant showed higher accumulation of the foreign analogues. Testing took place at JSC HC "Yakutugol" (companies included in the Group "Mechel").

BMK put the coal-mining enterprise settipane steel ropes with a polymer coating with a diameter of 60 mm. They are installed on the foreign production excavator working at a coal mine. Previously, this equipment used imported ropes with polymer.

the Ropes BMK operated from December 2019 through February 2020 in harsh climatic conditions of Yakutia, including in temperatures up to -45 degrees. Tests showed that they had gained 913 thousand cubic meters of coal. This is 6% higher than the operating time of imported synthetic ropes in the same technique.

the Polymer coating gives the rope durability and protection from corrosive environments. It also reduces wear not only of the rope, but expensive parts excavator: blocks and pulleys. The ropes are coated with a BMK started doing in 2018, offering the miners a cheaper alternative to imported counterparts.

"the Rope with a polymer coating is a promising products of our company. They successfully compete with imports in terms of use and a more attractive price", – said General Director of JSC "BMK" Sergei Fedorov.
