At the Yubileynoye field of Bashkir copper LLC, Republic of Bashkortostan, tests of two – boom tunneling drilling rigs produced by Mine Master (GHH Group) - Face Master 2.3 were successfully completed, as a result of which the mine Construction Department (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) purchased five such machines.
The two-boom Face Master 2.3 rig is designed for drilling sinkholes with a diameter of 42 mm to 76 mm and can be used in methane-free mine workings with a height of 3.0 to 6.1 m.the drilling Area is 67 m2.
Both booms of the machine are equipped with telescopic feeders. The depth of the hole is from 2150 to 4010 mm, with the corresponding lengths of the drill rod - from 2440 to 4310 mm. The impact energy of the hydroperforator is 19.4 kW. The units are also equipped with a system for monitoring operation parameters with the ability to transmit data to a local server via Wi-Fi.
FM 2.3 is compact in size and has great maneuverability: the internal turning radius is 3,300 mm, the external – 6,650 mm.
Other advantages of the new rig include a robust chassis design that ensures a long service life and low maintenance costs. In addition, the Face Master 2.3 is optimized drilling parameters.
"The Face Master 2.3 drilling rig performed well in the Russian copper field. FM 2.3 is a versatile machine that demonstrates low drilling tool consumption and high drilling accuracy. The installation demonstrates high performance both during large-scale mining operations and during tunnel construction," said Dmitry Zhukov, Executive Director of GCH Fartsoyge LLC.
"This is one of our first projects with GHH Group, but we are happy with the results and the opportunities that the FM 2.3 drilling rig will give us.It performed well during the trial tests, so it was decided to add this model to the fleet," said Ildar Sharipov, Director of shsu LLC.
