The events of the 14th season of the Golden Mask theater festival in Latvia will take place from October 19 to 28 in Riga, Ventspils, Liepaja and - for the first time - in Rezekne. The playbill contains five performances, especially noted by the jury of the Russian national theater award "Golden Mask" and members of the expert council of the Golden Mask in Latvia.
The most anticipated have already been two performances of the 2018/2019 season: SEREZHA (inspired by Leo Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina), the debut of the famous director Dmitry Krymov at the Moscow Art Theater ... Chekhov, and "GLORY" is the first work of one of the main newsmakers of the Russian stage, Konstantin Bogomolov, at the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater, "a play about good people," as the director himself defined its genre.

The staging of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater "S_CHILISCHA" is a recognizable, funny and frightening story about the fateful role of a vocational school student in the life of a philosophy teacher. “PROMISE AT DAWN” is another performance of the same theater, based on the cult autobiographical novel by Romain Gary about passionate, all-forgiving and, at times, destroying maternal love.
