The largest growth - 96% - was shown by the ball-bearing wire for the automotive industry. Sales of galvanized wire increased by 13%, while low-carbon wire for the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures grew by 70%. Sales of nails and steel mesh, which are used in concrete products for runways, flooded floors of shopping centers, etc., increased by 40% and 39%.
“Increase in shipments both in general and certain types of BMK hardware for the 1st quarter of 2019 was due to the seasonal revival of demand in the construction assortment market and effective work with clients, ”said Victor Kamelin, General Director of BMK JSC.
