PJSC Severstal supported the opening of the innovative online platform Culture Ic, created by the Tolerance Center of the Jewish Museum jointly with specialized experts on working with people with disabilities.
The platform will improve the competence of staff members of museums, cultural sites and volunteers culture in the field of correct communication for people with disabilities, using a convenient game form and on the example of real situations. Any number of users can simultaneously study on the platform for free, regardless of their location.
Thanks to the practice-oriented training on the platform, users will get an idea of the rules for communicating with people with visual and hearing impairments, people with mental disabilities, as well as with muscular disabilities - propulsion apparatus. In total, there are 10 cases in the basic course, a self-study module and a final test. The cases reflect typical situations of interaction between employees and volunteers with people with disabilities at all stages of their support.
The main goal of the “Culture Ic” project is to increase the competence of volunteers and employees of cultural institutions in the field of inclusion. As a result, cultural sites will be able to professionally work with people with disabilities, and they, in turn, will receive new opportunities for socialization.
