The installation eliminates the cause of the appearance of metal surface defects - the scale that occurs when the workpiece is heated. It also reduces the cost of metal production, and thereby increases its competitiveness, since earlier surface defects from scale were removed using additional processing operations.
The installation was assembled by the plant's specialists from domestic components and put into operation in the shortest possible time.
Mill 450 produces round, square and strip sections from the entire range of steel smelted at the plant. In 2018, it rolled 135 thousand tons of steel, which is 17% more than a year earlier. The main consumers of the mill's products are Russian and foreign automobile and machine-building enterprises.
