Metalloinvest and ChTPZ Group held a coordination council at Ural Steel (part of Metalloinvest). Within the framework of the workshop, the heads and specialists of the companies discussed the issues of pricing, quality and delivery times of flat products for the production of large diameter pipes (LDP) at the Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant (part of the ChTPZ Group).
Ural Steel is one of the strategic suppliers of flat products to the ChTPZ Group. At the end of 2018, the company shipped 270 thousand tons of metal products to partners. In the first half of 2019 alone, the volume of supplies exceeded 220 thousand tons.
“Metalloinvest strives to develop long-term strategic partnerships with key customers and jointly determine ways to improve product characteristics,” said Nazim Efendiev, First Deputy General Director - Commercial Director of Metalloinvest Management Company. “By the end of 2019, a record volume of strip supplies to the ChTPZ Group is predicted, which is a confirmation of the effectiveness of our interaction.”

As part of the meeting, representatives of Metalloinvest and the ChTPZ Group outlined further steps of interaction to improve the quality of products, noting the positive impact of upgrading equipment in the Ural Steel's sheet-rolling and electric steel-making shops.
In addition, representatives of the companies visited the electric steel-making and sheet-rolling shops of Ural Steel. The next coordinating council is scheduled for the fall of 2019 at ChelPipe.
