Demonstration parachute jumps, aerobatics on an airplane from DOSAAF athletes, flight equipment, as well as a rare opportunity to see aerodrome equipment will be presented to anyone at the Wings of the Motherland holiday, which will take place on August 11, 2019 at the UMMC Museum of Military Equipment.
At 11.00 at the open exhibition area of the Museum Complex, where the largest collection of military equipment in the Urals is presented, the celebration of the Day of the Russian Air Force will begin.
In 2019, the Russian Air Force turns 107 years old. It was decided to celebrate this date in the UMMC Museum of Military Equipment with a big family holiday, which will be interesting
for both adults and children.
The program of the event includes a performance by the Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Central Military District and the Russian Guard, a concert by a guest from Belarus, author and performer of songs about aviation Nikolai Anisimov, meetings with veterans and modern pilots of the Russian Air Force .
Unique exhibitions will work at the site. Thus, guests of the holiday will be able to try on the uniform and equipment of pilots, see the cockpit of a modern combat aircraft, see search and rescue equipment and modern special equipment of the Russian Air Force, which is used to prepare aircraft for flight. In the area of each exhibition it will be possible to take photographs as a souvenir.
A field kitchen will work at the festival, where everyone can taste real soldier's porridge. Children will be able to take part in master classes on assembling aircraft models and learn how to launch them.
Throughout the event, there will be a broadcast of unique footage taken during training and combat missions of military pilots.
The culmination the holiday will be the appearance in the sky of a DOSAAF aircraft, which will demonstrate aerobatics.
The celebration will end with the exciting quest "Wings of the Motherland", which will allow you to get acquainted with the aircraft from the collection of the Museum of Military Equipment of the UMMC. The winners will receive commemorative prizes.
