XCELLERATOR - ESAB's leading edge solution
ESAB, one of the leaders in the production of equipment and consumables for welding and cutting, offers its own XCELLERATOR robotic cells.
XCELLERATOR are ready-made stand-alone welding modules that simplify the installation process as much as possible and minimize the risks of introducing a robotic system into production. They are designed from the ground up for easy installation, setup and operation.
The cell is equipped with ESAB Aristo ™ 500 amp high performance welding equipment. The rotary table can be equipped with a one- or three-axis positioner for each work area. Additionally, the cell can be equipped with the ESAB WeldCloud ™ welding production monitoring system and HKS Weld QAS online quality control modules. The key feature of the XCELLERATOR is the integration of the robot and positioner, controller and welding power source into one platform.
To start the robotic cell into operation, the enterprise needs to install the cell in place using a forklift, fix it with anchor bolts to the floor, connect it to the power supply, air supply and shielding gas.
The cell is easy to install and ready for use within four hours after delivery to the plant. Despite its compact size, compared to classic cells, the ESAB plant provides 2 times more productivity.
All equipment in the cell is tested as a whole before being sent to the facility. The integrated structural frame provides a constant TCP (Tool center point) of the tool, regardless of cell movements, which eliminates the need for time-consuming reprogramming.
“We strive to cover all welding-related customer needs. XCELLERATOR is our solution for the automation and robotization of processes in industrial plants. It will be an interesting addition to all projects that we are implementing with major integrators based on robots such as ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa, ”said Dmitry Kuraksa, Managing Director of ESAB in Russia and the CIS.
ESAB's solution is suitable for transport engineering enterprises, manufacturers of construction equipment and light metal structures, and the most compact versions are suitable for academic and professional training of specialists.
