The leaders of Metalloinvest held a meeting with the personnel of Mikhailovsky GOK as part of the Generations of the Future program.
General Director Andrey Varichev spoke about the situation in the mining and metallurgical industry, in the global markets, and the results of the Company's work in the first half of 2019.
“High performance indicators and tax payments of Mikhailovsky GOK contributed to the fact that the budget of the Kursk region became surplus for the first time in several recent years,” noted Andrey Varichev. "But trade barriers between states create a difficult situation in the industry."
Director for Social Policy and Corporate Communications of Metalloinvest Management Company Yulia Mazanova, Director for Finance Alexei Voronov, Acting Director for Economics Anton Zakharov made detailed presentations.
The production part of the Company's Strategy is aimed at sustainable development of both enterprises and regions of presence. Multifaceted social programs create a comfortable urban environment.
“We must take into account the needs of future generations, preserve the ecology and culture, and contribute to the social development of society,” Yulia Mazanova addressed the workers of the plant. “It is socially responsible business, as a driver of development, that contributes to positive changes in society.”
Employees of the Company are themselves the initiators of change: participants in volunteer actions and professional corporate and regional competitions. During the meeting, the managers awarded the winners of the Scientific and Technical Conference among the employees of the Company's mining segment.
The next block of "Generations of the Future" at MGOK will be devoted to investment projects and the business transformation program.
For reference:In 2019, Metalloinvest launched a new project, Generations of the Future. The goal of this program is to grow leaders of change, while preserving the best traditions of the Company. As part of this program, the heads of Metalloinvest and the Company's enterprises meet with human resources - participants in the Institute of Production Leaders, the TOP-100 /TOP-500 talent pool, promising employees of the administrative and managerial level.
Meetings are held at every enterprise - Lebedinsky GOK, Mikhailovsky GOK, OEMK and Ural Steel. Participants share their experience, discuss strategic goals and urgent tasks of the Company. The leaders answer in detail all the questions of the listeners, and they transmit the information received to their teams.
