Mechel signed a cooperation agreement with Rosgeologia
In accordance with the agreement, the parties expressed their readiness to cooperate in the implementation of projects for search and evaluation and exploration of new highly liquid mineral deposits and their further exploitation.
The document also provides for the possibility of establishing joint ventures by Mechel and Rosgeologia for the implementation of projects for the search, assessment and further development of mineral deposits.
In addition, the parties agreed that they will consider various possibilities for updating, reevaluating and additional exploration of reserves of unexploited (mothballed) fields to involve them in production.
“The unique experience of Rosgeology, the latest digital solutions applied company, will allow us to more effectively study the subsoil and develop promising mineral deposits in the Far Eastern District. I am confident that bilateral cooperation will have a positive impact on the further development of the mining industry in our country, ”said Oleg Korzhov, General Director of Mechel PAO.
