Cranes played darts in the Sverdlovsk region
Kirovgrad (Sverdlovsk region)
In the Polymetal Production branch of Uralelectromed JSC (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex), operators played darts with the help of lifting truck cranes. While in the cockpit, they took turns trying to hit the balloons filled with water with improvised darts attached to hooks. This exciting game became one of the stages of the professional skill competition for the best crane driver.
С Using an unusual dart, the crane operators were tested for agility and accuracy. The machinists delicately picked up a rod with a hook and levers aimed it at a tiny target, trying to pierce the target with a "dart". Only two competitors managed to burst the balloon. According to the players, the feeling of darts on a bulky technique can be compared to threading through a tiny eye of a needle in thick gloves.
- The daily work of a crane operator requires skill, confidence and accuracy. Accuracy and lack of haste are the main criteria for the successful completion of practical tasks, - noted the chief engineer of the motor transport department of the branch Yevgeny Balakin.
During the competition, the professional skills of crane operators were also tested for composure, self-control and calmness. The drivers had to move the load along the labyrinth (dedicated corridor) without hitting the fences. At the end of the test, the sample had to be placed clearly in the center of the designated circle.
The winner An experienced machinist Nikolai Kalachev won the competition, Anatoly Raev took second place, Sergei Babushkin showed the third result.
